This thinline acoustic-electric guitar features a built-in tuner and a piezo pickup system, so you can plug it in at the coffeehouse and get natural acoustic sound through the PA speakers. The Yamaha APX500 is branded as a "thinline" acoustic-electric guitar. Yamaha has constructed the APX500's body with a thinner profile that snugly hugs your body, so it's easy and comfortable to play. What the APX500 lacks in size, it definitely makes up for with its full sound. It features a spruce top, a nato body and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge -- this one sounds great unplugged.

The APX500 also features a revamped version of the tried and true System55T. This is a 1-way piezo pickup system that comes with a 3-band EQ and built-in tuner.
